Fast Answers

What is Foveo Labs?

Foveo Labs is a software prototype for reviewing synthetic digital eye-file workflows. The current console shows synthetic eye/lens artifacts, design specs, STL files, warning records, cross-sections, and replay hashes so labs and advisors can inspect the workflow before any clinical or manufacturing claims are made.

What is a digital eye file?

A digital eye file is Foveo's working term for a reusable, versioned record that can hold geometry, parameters, artifacts, warnings, review notes, and deterministic replay information. In the public prototype, the file is synthetic and non-clinical.

What does lens artifact review mean?

Lens artifact review means inspecting generated software artifacts such as a machine-readable design spec, STL geometry, cross-section image, clearance metrics, warning records, and hash identity. It does not mean the artifact is approved for diagnosis, fitting, dispensing, manufacturing, or wear.

How is Foveo different from contact lens ordering software?

Foveo is currently positioned as a neutral artifact-review and workflow research layer, not an ordering portal, scanner platform, clinical fitting system, or lens manufacturer. The near-term focus is repeatability, reviewability, advisor feedback, and clean data boundaries.

Boundaries

Is Foveo ready for patients?
No. The current product is a synthetic-only research prototype for technical review.
Does Foveo ingest real scanner files?
No. Public work uses synthetic fixtures only. Real scanner import requires written policy, advisor review, and compliance controls.
Does Foveo print wearable lenses?
No. The public prototype does not manufacture, release, or approve wearable contact lenses.
What kind of conversation is Foveo seeking?
Non-confidential feedback from labs, clinicians, researchers, and technical partners on artifact review, workflow design, scanner-neutral schemas, and safe next steps.
